Richmond Hill

Originally a small community named Ways Station, Henry Ford, founder of Ford Motor Company, acquired property here, building a vacation home in the nearby Richmond Plantation. Henry Ford invested heavily in the community, renaming it Richmond Hill State Park, which is its present name today. The city has attracted much attention as a small coastal community alternative to the nearby city of Savannah.
